Are you as a city innovator who knows how to design modern infrastructure? Join our challenge to address the needs defined by the 11th Susutainable Development Goal: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
CHALLENGE 1: DIRECT PARTICIPATION IN SPATIAL PLANNING AND URBAN MANAGEMENT
What do to:
Your task is to build a tool that will enable people to express their opinions about how the space should look like and how include inhabitants in the decision-making process related to spatial planning. It will strengthen the innovation and sustainable development of cities. The tool should be engaging, possibly include elements of gamification and enhance the search of new solutions.
Why it is important?
There are few number of people, who participate in public consultations regarding local plans. The majority of them cannot read local plans and other planning documents. These factors also limit the potential of creating innovative and sustainable solutions. Not only is this problem evident in Poland, but also it applies to other countries, what makes the solution universal.
CHALLENGE 2: CITIZEN OPINION LIVE
Your task is to design an on-line tool that will enable residents to express their views on the quality of urban space in an easy, intuitive and accessible way. We want to run real streams of citizen data – collect opinions, ratings, and current feedback here and now. We are looking for an extremely inclusive solution that will overcome the barriers of social involvement and digital exclusion.
